Ronja Heß

Ronja Heß studied law at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg and at Trinity College Dublin. Since 2018 she is a research associate at the Chair for Public and Public International Law at Erlangen and teaches seminars on German Constitutional Law. From November 2015 until October 2016 she conducted a study on sexual self-determination in the municipalities of Nuremberg and Erlangen together with Dr. Imke Leicht. Her research interests lie mainly on feminist and queer legal theory as well as international human rights law. In her PhD project Ronja Heß examines the right to gender identity in the jurisprudence of the German Constitutional Court, the European Court of Human Rights and in the UN human rights system.
