Aneth Lwakatare-Thumm studied law at the Tumaini University in Tanzania. She has worked for different church institutions and NGOs in Germany, Tanzania and Switzerland with a focus on human rights. She holds a Master’s degree in Human Rights from the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg. In her PhD project, supervised by Prof. Dr. Markus Krajewski and funded by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Aneth Lwakatare-Thumm examines the right to water and sanitation in the African Human Rights System.
