From March 3rd to March 7th this years batch went on a four days excursion to Geneva. The excursion to Geneva mainly serves as a chance to experience human rights protection by the United Nations first hand, and to meet with executives within the UN system and members of international NGOs working with them. This year, students had the opportunity to visit and talk to staffs of Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, UNICEF and the International Organisation for Migration.
During the excursion students also attended the 125th session of the UN Human Rights Committee, this was then followed by a meeting with Professor Andreas Zimmermann, who serves as an expert to the UN Human Rights Committee. He is a renowned international law expert with many years of practical experience as an advisor both in Germany and at the international level.
