On Monday, 22 May, we will welcome Mrs Cecilia Medina Quiroga, former member and chair of the United Nations Human Rights Committee (1995-2002), and former member and president of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (2004-2009). Mrs Medina Quiroga will give a public lecture on the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, discussing its history as well as challenges. She will showcase the peculiarities and unique achievements of the Court by exemplifying cases of disappearances and violations of women’s rights.
The lecture will take place on May 22nd, at 6pm, in the Orangerie, Schlossplatz 1, in Erlangen. It will be followed by a reception and is open to the public. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
